Location
Descending the valley from Couchos, on the D618, is
Saurat (5km) with a post office, baker, pharmacy, a small 'epicerie' and a bar.
The next town is Tarascon-sur-Ariege (14km) with more
facilities while Foix, with its three-towered chateau and medieval streets, is only another ten minutes by car. Foix is the regional centre, providing a greater range of shops and restaurants.
Travel
The nearest airports to us are Toulouse and Carcassonne. Both are within an hour and a half by road.
Car hire is available from both and is essential for you to enjoy the wide variety of local attractions.
