Viv and Alan Jones are delighted to be your hosts for your stay at Couchos.
We are both English but are working hard to become a part of the local French community. Viv, a former teacher of Biology and keen naturalist, and Alan, a former lawyer, managed their own B&B in mid Devon for a few years before their early retirement to this idyllic mountain area. Our main preoccupation since 2004 has been renovating this 150 year old house to bring it up to a suitable standard for B&B.
We are both enthusiastic cooks and pride ourselves on our large vegetable garden that provides fresh seasonal vegetables for the kitchen.
Among our interests are skiing and walking and Alan enjoys playing the guitar whilst Viv works in her gardens, both cultivated and wild. As well as providing the machinery and muscle to prepare the ground for planting, Alan enjoys maintaining the woodland garden as a place for guests to enjoy.
Having a large extended family, who frequently visit, we are always happy to involve guests of all ages in activities around the land: collecting vegetables and fruit picking are two of the favourites.
Our aim is for you to enjoy a friendly family holiday experience, however long you stay.
